12 IDF Soldiers Hurt in Explosive-Drone Attack Near Shomera; IDF Strikes Hezbollah Sites in South Lebanon

The IDF says an explosive drone hit the Shomera sector this morning, wounding 12 soldiers—two moderately and ten lightly. Troops from the IDF’s ultra-Orthodox Hashmonaim Brigade helped evacuate the wounded. Several other soldiers were treated for anxiety and ear ringing. Around midday, interceptors launched near the Lebanon border and the IDF began hitting Hezbollah infrastructure; a launcher was destroyed in the Mount Dov area.

The IDF Spokesperson said this afternoon (Thursday) that 12 IDF soldiers were wounded this morning when an explosive drone struck in the Shomera area.

Two of the soldiers were moderately wounded and 10 were lightly wounded. Troops from the IDF’s ultra-Orthodox Hashmonaim Brigade, who were on an operational mission in the area, rushed to the scene to help evacuate the wounded from the field. In addition, several soldiers were classified as suffering from anxiety and were experiencing ringing in their ears. They received treatment.

In addition, it was reported that interceptors were launched around midday toward the Lebanon border after a suspicious object was detected. The IDF also began striking Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. At the same time, forces from the Alpine Unit, under the 810th Mountains Brigade, completed a focused operation in rugged, complex terrain to destroy Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Lebanese Mount Dov sector. Among other things, a rocket launcher was destroyed.
