The IDF Spokesperson revealed late this afternoon (Tuesday) that Hezbollah attempted to launch a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli Air Force aircraft. There was no damage and no injuries to our forces. The aircraft was an IDF attack helicopter operating in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, the IDF reported that earlier today the Air Force intercepted an aerial target before it crossed into Israeli territory. In several other incidents, Hezbollah launched multiple explosive drones and an anti-tank missile toward an area where IDF forces are operating, and several explosive devices were detonated near the forces in southern Lebanon, with no injuries.

In the southern arena, the IDF Spokesperson said the IDF struck an armed Hamas cell while it was operating in the northern Gaza Strip, near IDF forces deployed in the area of the yellow line. In another incident, combat team forces from the 'HaMahatz' (14) Brigade, operating in northern Gaza, yesterday identified five terrorists who approached the yellow line and operated near the forces in a way that posed an immediate threat.

In both incidents, the Air Force, guided by the forces on the ground, struck the terrorists to remove the threat. Most of the terrorists were eliminated, and additional hits were observed. Before the strike, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial observation.
