Iranian Official: Hit Us Again and We’ll Enrich Uranium to 90%

In a post on X, Iranian parliament spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei warned the U.S. and Israel, saying lawmakers may consider 90% enrichment if Iran is attacked again. U.S. and Israeli intelligence agree: Tehran’s nuclear program won’t be curbed unless its enriched-uranium stockpile is removed or destroyed.

Iranian parliament spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei said today (Tuesday) that "the country can enrich uranium up to 90%, a level considered weapons-grade, if Iran is attacked again".

According to Reuters, Rezaei wrote on X: "One of Iran's options in the event of another attack could be enrichment to 90%. We will examine this in parliament". The remarks reinforce the assessment in Israel and the U.S. that the Iranians are concealing information and are able to continue enriching uranium.

The report noted that intelligence bodies in the U.S. and Israel are of one mind: "Tehran's nuclear program will not be harmed unless the stockpile of enriched uranium is removed or destroyed".

As a reminder, last night U.S. President Donald Trump said that the prolonged cease-fire between the U.S. and Iran is "dying and on life support". Trump reiterated that Iran "will not have a nuclear weapon". However, Reuters recalled that as early as June of last year, after Operation "*Am Kelavi*", the fate of about 400 kg of uranium enriched to 60%—a short technical step from about 90% weapons-grade material—remained unclear.

This morning it was reported that Trump is inclined to order the resumption of military activity against Iran, in one form or another. Sources familiar with the details told CNN that "Trump's patience is running out in light of the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz".
