Savory Cheese & Olive Muffins for Shavuot

A Shavuot recipe: Cheese and olive muffins—tasty and simple to make.

It is recommended to use a silicone mold 3.5 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm deep. You can also use small aluminum muffin cups—about 50 pieces.

Ingredients:

350 grams (2 1/2 cups) sifted self-rising flour

600 ml (2 1/2 cups) milk

5 eggs

5 tablespoons canola oil

100 grams chopped green olives

3 cloves garlic, crushed

160 grams grated Kashkaval cheese

100 grams grated Bulgarian cheese

Oil spray for greasing the silicone mold

 

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 160°C.

In a large bowl, add the milk, eggs, oil, and garlic, and mix well.

Add the flour while mixing, then add all the remaining ingredients.

Using a spoon, fill each cavity of the silicone mold to three-quarters full.

For an upgrade, add a slice of goat cheese on top of each one and a little hulled sunflower seeds.

Bake for 20–25 minutes (until golden).
