Cleared for Publication: Capt. Dr. Uri Yosef Sylvester, z"l, Killed in Combat in Lebanon
Capt. Dr. Uri Yosef Sylvester, z"l, 30, of Tel Aviv, the battalion physician for the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, was killed by an explosive drone strike in southern Lebanon. The battalion commander and six officers and soldiers were wounded in the incident.

The fallen soldier: Capt. Dr. Uri Yosef Sylvester, 30, of Tel Aviv, battalion physician of the Shaked Battalion (424), Givati Brigade, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon. He was posthumously promoted from the rank of lieutenant to captain. הי"ד.
This is the first time since the start of the war that a physician has fallen on the battlefield and during an IDF ground maneuver. With this, the number of IDF fallen since the start of the "Swords of Iron" war rises to 951. Since the ceasefire in Lebanon began, 24 IDF soldiers have fallen in Lebanon and along the northern border.
In the incident in which Dr. Sylvester fell, seven additional soldiers were wounded, including four officers. Two officers and one soldier were seriously wounded, one officer was moderately wounded, and two officers and one soldier were lightly wounded. Among those lightly wounded was the commander of Givati's Shaked Battalion, an officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
