A fresh, colorful salad packed with crisp vegetables, creamy avocado, and flavorful Safed cheese. Perfect as a light meal, side dish, or addition to any Mediterranean table.
Ingredients
For the Salad
250 g (8.8 oz) Safed cheese (1 container)
11 cherry tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 head Arabic lettuce (or romaine lettuce)
1 carrot
1 avocado
1 red onion
1/4 red cabbage
For the Dressing
1 1/2 cups lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them into rounds, leaving the peel on.
Cut the lettuce into medium-sized pieces.
Peel the carrot and continue peeling it into thin ribbons or curls using a vegetable peeler.
Peel the avocado, remove the pit, and cut it into cubes.
Peel the red onion and slice it into rings.
Finely chop the red cabbage.
Place all the vegetables in a large salad bowl.
Cut the Safed cheese into cubes and add it to the bowl.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and olive oil until combined.
Dress the salad just before serving and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.
Serving Tip
For the freshest texture, add the dressing immediately before serving. This keeps the lettuce crisp and the vegetables vibrant while allowing the flavors of the cheese and dressing to shine.
