Cleared for Release: Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Klomity Killed in Sharon Terror Attack
Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Klomity, 55, of Tzur Natan, a local defense fighter in Battalion 8881 of the Efraim Brigade, was killed in the attack in Tzur Natan. The community’s military security coordinator was seriously wounded.

It was cleared for publication this evening (Sunday) that in this morning’s terror attack in the Sharon region, Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Klomity, 55, of Tzur Natan, a local defense fighter in Battalion 8881 of the Efraim Brigade, was killed. <\/p>
In the incident, the community’s military security coordinator was seriously wounded. He was evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment.<\/p>
Meanwhile, in addition to the terrorist, an Israeli Arab from Tayibe, who was killed at the scene, detectives from the Tayibe station arrested two suspects this afternoon, in cooperation with the Shin Bet and the Yamam, on suspicion of involvement in the attack. During the arrest, one of the suspects tried to stab the detectives.<\/p>
In the deadly attack this morning, which began at the gas station in Kokhav Ya'ir and ended in Tzur Natan, five people were wounded. One was seriously wounded and four were moderately wounded.<\/p>
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "Together with all the citizens of Israel, my wife and I send our deepest condolences to the family of fighter Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Klomity, of blessed memory, a member of the Tzur Natan emergency response team, who fell today in the brutal terror attack. <\/span>Together with the community’s military security coordinator, who was seriously wounded, Haim, of blessed memory, engaged the terrorist and bravely defended the residents of Tzur Natan from the despicable attacker who launched a murderous shooting rampage".<\/span><\/p> "I wish our wounded a speedy and full recovery and strengthen the security forces who acted decisively and eliminated the terrorist. We will continue to fight terrorism with a strong hand on all fronts".<\/span><\/p> Defense Minister Israel Katz said: "I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Master Sgt. (res.) Haim Klomity, a local defense fighter in Battalion 8881 of the Efraim Brigade, who was murdered in the severe terror attack in Tzur Natan. <\/span>Haim, of blessed memory, went out to protect the citizens of Israel, courageously engaged the vile terrorist who carried out the murderous attack, and fell while carrying out his mission to defend the state and its residents".<\/span><\/p> "The defense establishment and the security branches are working day and night to eradicate terrorism in every arena, and we will continue to pursue the terrorists and those who send them and hold them accountable. Terrorism will not deter us and will not prevent us from continuing the determined struggle to protect the citizens of Israel. <\/span>I wish all the wounded a speedy recovery, share in the family’s deep sorrow, and embrace them at this difficult hour. May his memory be a blessing".<\/span><\/p>
