Montreal police in Canada are responding tonight (Monday, Israel time) to a shooting incident being investigated as a possible terror attack at the entrance to a Jewish-owned business in the Westbury neighborhood, near a Chabad house. Three people were reported killed, including a Canadian police officer. The assessment is that this was a terror attack, and authorities are also examining whether one of those killed was a female terrorist.
Security forces are reportedly conducting a manhunt for suspects. The incident took place near a Jewish-owned pizzeria, next to a Jewish supermarket. The location, in the Côte-des-Neiges borough near the Hilton Hotel, is an area with a large Jewish population and about a 15-minute drive from the city’s largest Jewish neighborhood.
