An undercover Border Police unit operating in Judea and Samaria arrested a wanted terror suspect during an operation in the city of Nablus, in the Samaria Brigade's sector, acting under the direction of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). Police said on Wednesday that the operation was conducted as part of a joint effort by the security forces, and that the suspect was transferred to the Shin Bet for further questioning.

According to the police statement, the force initially arrived covertly at the building where the suspect was hiding. Once the deployment in the area was complete, the troops moved to the overt phase of the operation and called on the suspect to exit the building and surrender. He complied, emerged from the building, and was arrested on the spot without resistance.

"The wanted suspect responded to the calls, exited the building, and was arrested by undercover Border Police officers in Judea and Samaria without resistance," the statement read. "The suspect has been transferred to the Israel Security Agency for further questioning. There were no casualties among our forces."

Police stressed that the operation forms part of the security forces' continuing effort to thwart terror activity in Judea and Samaria and to apprehend wanted suspects, noting that cooperation between the Border Police, the IDF and the Shin Bet is routine in operations conducted throughout the sector.

"Border Police officers, alongside IDF soldiers and under the direction of the Israel Security Agency, will continue to act with determination, day and night, to thwart terror activity and arrest wanted suspects, in order to safeguard the security of the citizens of the State of Israel," the statement concluded.
