Israeli Official: Renewed Fighting With Iran Could Resume Within Days
Israel’s defense establishment is closely watching the risk of a new escalation in the Persian Gulf. With the possibility that the U.S. could intensify its strikes on Iran, there is growing concern that Iran may target Israel.

In recent days, the Iranians have been weighing whether to attack Israel, and they have not yet made a decision on the matter." That was reported by Channel 14 News.
According to the report, another assessment in Israel is that the U.S. may ask Israel to join the campaign, even if it is not attacked. Senior officials told Channel 14 News: "We are moving toward a collision course with Iran that may be decided in the coming days. Israel will thwart any attempted attack and will join any American action if requested."
I24NEWS also reported that Israel would join strikes on Iran under one of three scenarios: if Iran launches attacks against Israel; if Israeli intelligence identifies that Iran is preparing to launch missiles or drones at Israel; or if President Trump formally requests Israel’s participation in the operation.
Earlier today, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said that the military is closely monitoring developments in Iran, and that the army is prepared for a return to fighting. Defense Minister ישראל כ"ץ added that "if Israel is attacked, it will strike Iran without dependence or condition."
