Trump Says He Ordered the Military to "Open the Gates of Hell"

U.S. President Donald Trump shared a report this evening (Wednesday, Israel time) on his account from an American newspaper claiming that he had ordered U.S. Central Command to "open the gates of hell" on Iran. This came in response to the killing of American soldiers in Jordan and Iraq.

A political source in Israel said that Israel was informed by the U.S. that it intends to escalate its attacks in Iran and, in the coming days, for the first time in the current escalation, carry out strikes in Iran using heavy bombers.

As previously reported, in Operation Roar of the Lion, the U.S. used bombers in strikes on Iran, mainly against the nuclear reactors. The assessment in Israel is that Trump will order an attack on "Pickaxe Mountain," the site where Iran is suspected of hiding some of its enriched uranium.

According to the Israeli source, Iran may carry out its threat and attack all countries in the Middle East that support the Americans, including Israel. Such a move would lead to renewed Israeli strikes in Iran.

At the same time, Mossad chief Roman Gofman and CIA Director John Ratcliffe met at the White House before the fighting in Iran resumed. That was reported by the website "Axios," which noted that the meeting took place two weeks ago, and that the talks focused on the war in Iran and the nuclear program. One of the purposes of the visit was to coordinate positions with Washington regarding negotiations with Iran. According to the report, Ratcliffe was one of the most skeptical figures in Trump’s circle regarding the memorandum of understanding with Iran, and had warned in advance that they would interpret differently the clauses relating to the strait.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf addressed the escalation in the fighting with the U.S. amid President Donald Trump’s threats. Ghalibaf wrote on X: "The equation of this war is clear — all or nothing. In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not guaranteed, no infrastructure will be safe. The security of the strait depends on the absence of American forces. We have said many times that the situation in the strait will not return to what it was before the war."
