The United Arab Emirates Defense Ministry said Tuesday evening: "Two ballistic missiles were launched at us from Iran. The first fell outside the country’s territorial waters, and the second in territorial waters. We are on full alert and prepared to address any threat."

After the launch was detected, public alerts were activated in Dubai. Emergency notifications were sent to mobile devices, and the public was instructed to immediately take shelter in protected areas. The concern was lifted after air defense systems carried out interception operations. Dubai officials said the missiles were headed toward a major target.

Initial reports in the United Arab Emirates attributed the ballistic missile launch to the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who operate under Iranian direction. The Houthis denied involvement. It should be noted that yesterday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked a United Arab Emirates tanker in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel was damaged.
