Deadly Bus Crash in Sinai Leaves 16 Dead, 28 Injured

Sixteen people were killed and 28 others injured after a bus overturned on the road between Dahab and Nuweiba in southern Sinai. Twenty ambulances were dispatched to the scene, and area hospitals were placed on high alert.

A deadly traffic accident occurred today (Wednesday) in southern Sinai, Egypt: Sixteen people were killed and 28 others were injured after a bus overturned on the road connecting Dahab and Nuweiba. According to Egypt’s Health Ministry, numerous emergency and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following the crash. At this time, there are no known Israelis involved in the incident.

Following the initial reports of the accident, 20 ambulances were sent to the scene to evacuate the victims and provide initial medical care. The injured were transferred to hospitals in the area for treatment.

Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar ordered hospitals in the area to raise their level of preparedness following the incident. “The victims will receive all necessary care,” he said. “Local teams are operating at full capacity, and developments are being monitored continuously.”
