Inside Hezbollah’s Tunnels: New Footage From the Destroyed Ali Taher Ridge Complex
A day after the tunnel complex at Ali Taher Ridge was destroyed, new footage reveals the complex operation that lasted about three months. Large quantities of weapons were found at the site, and more than 1,100 tons of explosives were used to destroy it.

A day after the IDF destroyed Hezbollah’s tunnel complex beneath Ali Taher Ridge, new footage has emerged from the infrastructure where forces operated in recent months. The footage shows soldiers moving through the narrow, branching passageways, alongside equipment and supplies stored inside.
The tunnel system, with a total length of more than two kilometers, was built over roughly two decades. According to the IDF, it contained dozens of Iranian-made rockets, missiles and drones, machine guns, dozens of anti-tank missiles, and hundreds of mines and explosive devices. The military describes the ridge as a “massive military outpost,” exposed from nearly every direction.

Forces crossed the Litani River and carried out a series of deception operations intended to surprise Hezbollah and gradually dismantle its deployment in the area.
According to the military, about 50 Hezbollah terrorists were inside the infrastructure at the start of the operation. Most were killed, while others fled, some of them injured during their escape. Hezbollah tried to reinforce those barricaded inside, evacuate wounded fighters and transfer supplies. At least 10 additional terrorists who tried to reach the ridge and assist were hit.
The IDF stresses that, contrary to reports, there were not hundreds of terrorists in the complex, and no Iranians or Iranian experts were found there. The terrorists could have left and surrendered, but did not do so. When forces entered the passageways, they also found the bodies of terrorists killed during the operation.
Above-ground infrastructure and shafts were destroyed first, and later soldiers operated inside the tunnels under the ongoing threat of surveillance and explosive devices. During the clearing of the ridge, extensive intelligence was collected and weapons were found. Bringing the explosive materials into the tunnels became a prolonged logistical operation, and more than 1,100 tons of explosives were ultimately used to destroy the complex.
