Gaza: Hamas Commander Who Held Seven Israeli Hostages Killed

The IDF spokesperson announced this morning (Thursday) that the IDF killed the terrorist Mahmoud Abd al-Fattah Awad, a commander in Hamas’s military wing, in the Gaza City area late last week.

Throughout the war, the terrorist took part in holding the hostages Daniela Gilboa, Karina Ariev, Doron Steinbrecher, Naama Levy, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran, and Eitan Mor in an underground tunnel in the Gaza City area.

Recently, the terrorist advanced terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. He was killed in an airstrike to remove the threat he posed.
