Under the agreement, it will be the sole supplier of SMASH systems for intercepting drones. The news was reported by Ynet.
According to the report, the project was established in August 2025 as part of the fight against small UAVs. It combines the capabilities of different branches of the U.S. military, the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines, along with federal law-enforcement agencies, to protect bases and address unmanned aircraft threats in the United States and abroad.
"The agreement includes two achievements: defining our solution as the preferred one, which grants us sole-supplier status, and the substantial budget framework," said Michal Mor, founder and CEO of Smart Shooter. "The win marks a significant milestone in expanding our operations in the American defense market. The SMASH systems are designed to provide the tools to stop small, fast drones before they can harm forces, bases and strategic assets."
The contract is for a period of 36 months and includes the supply of systems, training and service. The system is essentially a sight mounted on a rifle that uses algorithms to process the target image, perform ballistic calculations and lock the sight onto it. Only then, after the soldier pulls the trigger, is the bullet released.
At the same time, Third Eye Systems, which develops electro-optical systems incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities, reported the unveiling of its Iron Web product, which provides advanced drone-detection capabilities for armored combat vehicles.
The product serves as a complementary detection and interception tool to the company’s Argus Shield product, which creates all-around detection capability from the ground around the armored vehicle. The company unveiled the integrated system today at the 6th International Defense-Tech Exhibition being held in Baku, Azerbaijan. For the first time, the Israeli company is displaying its products at an international exhibition under the EDGE corporation of the United Arab Emirates.
