Three operatives from the military wing of Hamas were killed over the weekend in a series of airstrikes carried out by the IDF in northern Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson announced today (Monday). Among those killed were a cell leader, a member of the weapons production network, and a terrorist who belonged to the organization's engineering battalion. The military said the three had recently been involved in rebuilding Hamas's military capabilities and in advancing terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

In the Daraj Tuffah area, Abdallah Muhammad Khamis Jaber was killed. He was an operative in the military wing of Hamas who was involved in producing various types of weaponry. According to the IDF announcement, Jaber played a significant role in the activity of the organization's production headquarters and assisted its rebuilding and development efforts. His work was intended to support the continued functioning of the network, which produces weaponry for Hamas.

In the same area, Majed Ahmad Mustafa Sabbagh, who served as a cell leader in the organization's military wing, was also killed. In an additional strike carried out in the Jabaliya area, Amer Bashir Muhammad Hourani, an operative in Hamas's engineering battalion, was killed.

The IDF noted that the terrorists had recently been working to advance terror activity and to restore the organization's military capabilities, despite the ceasefire agreement. According to the military, their activity was carried out “in systematic violation of the ceasefire,” and the decision to eliminate them was made in order to remove the threat they posed.

It was further reported that IDF forces in the Southern Command remain deployed in the field in accordance with the agreement. The military made clear that it will continue to act to remove threats to its forces and to the citizens of the State of Israel, even during a period in which the ceasefire is still in effect.
