These rich, bite-sized treats combine creamy peanut butter, crunchy biscuit crumbs, and a smooth dark chocolate coating. No oven or butter required!

If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, these no-bake treats are about to become a favorite. With a creamy, slightly crunchy peanut butter filling and a rich dark chocolate coating, they're the perfect little indulgence when you're craving something sweet.
Best of all, they're incredibly easy to make. There's no oven, no butter, and no complicated preparation involved. Just a handful of ingredients and a little chilling time.
The crushed biscuits add a delicate crunch while helping the filling hold its shape, creating a delicious contrast with the smooth chocolate coating.
Because these treats are quite rich, they're best made into small, bite-sized balls. They're ideal for serving with coffee, sharing with guests, or keeping in the refrigerator for a sweet treat throughout the week.

40 g (1.4 oz) powdered sugar

How to Make No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
Step 1: Prepare the peanut butter mixture
In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, if using. Stir until smooth and well combined.
If you're using natural peanut butter, make sure to stir it thoroughly in the jar before measuring, so the separated oil is fully incorporated.
Step 2: Add the crushed biscuits
Add the finely crushed Petit Beurre biscuits and mix until you have a uniform mixture that holds together when pressed.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes to allow the mixture to firm up.
Step 3: Shape the balls
Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper.
Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and roll it into approximately 20 small, evenly sized balls.
If the mixture is too soft or sticky to shape, add another tablespoon of finely crushed biscuits. If it's too dry or crumbly, mix in a teaspoon of peanut butter at a time until it reaches the right consistency.
Arrange the balls on the prepared tray and place them in the freezer for 15 minutes. This will help them hold their shape when dipped into the melted chocolate.
Step 4: Melt the chocolate
Break the dark chocolate into small pieces and place them in a completely dry, microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 20 to 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Add the oil and stir until fully incorporated. This helps create a smoother coating that's easier to work with.
Step 5: Coat the peanut butter balls
Using a fork, dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, turning it gently until completely coated.
Lift it out and allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl before carefully placing it on the parchment-lined tray.
If you'd like to add a little extra crunch, sprinkle finely chopped roasted peanuts over each ball while the chocolate is still wet.
Step 6: Chill until set
Transfer the coated balls to the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
Once set, they're ready to enjoy!
Tips for Perfect Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
Adjust the sweetness: If you're using sweetened peanut butter, start with just 20 g (0.7 oz) of powdered sugar. Taste the filling before adding the biscuit crumbs, and increase the sugar if needed.
Get the texture right: The filling should be firm enough to roll without crumbling. A little extra biscuit crumb will help a sticky mixture, while a small amount of additional peanut butter can bring a dry mixture together.
Don't skip the chilling time: Chilling the filling before shaping and briefly freezing the balls before dipping makes the coating process much easier and helps prevent them from falling apart.
Make them pareve: For a pareve (non-dairy) version suitable for serving after a meat meal, use certified pareve dark chocolate and biscuits, and make sure the remaining ingredients are also pareve.
Add a finishing touch: Chopped roasted peanuts give the balls a little extra crunch and make them look especially inviting. You can also leave them plain for a simple, smooth chocolate finish.
How to Store Them
Store the chocolate peanut butter balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
For the best texture, enjoy them chilled, when the chocolate coating is firm and the peanut butter center is rich and creamy.
With just a few everyday ingredients and no baking required, these little treats prove that a homemade dessert doesn't have to be complicated to be delicious.
