1. Nivul Peh 2. Olam HaBa 3. Gay issues
Dear Rabbi, I greatly appreciate the provision of this service. I learned of the organization recently and had the z'chuis of making a donation to the Lag B'Omer appeal. If I may, I wish to pose 3 queries: 1. What constitutes nivul p'eh? What words are forbidden? Are the "F" word or the "s" word permissible? Does it depend on context?. May one read literature or listen to songs that contain nivul peh, such as rap music, which I am mad for? 2. Do any of the texts (Zohar, Midrash, Gemara) discuss that which happens to deceased non-Jews? When one says Kaddish, lights a yahrzeit candle=, learns Torah, fasts or donates tzedaka in the merit of decased Gentiles, does it have any impact on the neshama ( does it derive pleasure, is it elevated to a higher plane, can it be rescued from Gehenna? Will non Jews be resurrected? 3. I informed the rabbi who superintended my geirus that I am gay. I was informed that orientation is not problematic. One must refrain from prohibited actions. Are any of the following permissible to a gay Jewish man: shaking a woman's hand listening to a woman sing being secluded with a woman I would appreciate any insights or referral to sources. I thank the rav. The rav and all Hidabroot staff, and subscribers and program participants should experience always health peace and prosperity and growth in Torah and mitzvos always. Lommer deleben Moshiach. Respectfully, Bill
My two daughters are partial Jewish since intermarriage, one of my daughters got a DNA test and it came back around 25 percent European Jewish, which I assume is the same for my other daughter. How should I approach this?
Marrying a Convert
Shalom, My name is Stefon. I'm waiting to hear back from the Beis Din regarding beginning my classes. I was looking up the topic on marriage. However, There is no information on the marriage of a convert, who was divorced twice and has three children from those marriages years before his conversion . Is that convert permitted to marry a Jewish woman with no children?
Is it Ok for a non-Jew not to Convert?
I'm reviewing, learning about the Jewish religion from a "Christian" background with the purpose of better understanding. I recently learned the Nimrod, tammaz, (I think thats the correct spelling) and it upset me and made me question just what I was actually believing. The Torah and related information from Rabbi videos has expand my knowledge and understand exponentially. It really has helped me grow. But I just came across a reference to the Sanhedrin 59a in the comments section of what basically was a video discouraging conversation to judism. It also reference the "Rambam" as discouraging it and saying we we're like Kohen Gadol offering profane fire to G_D. I really don't have a good way to verify this or even check if I understood it correctly. I humbly ask if you can clarify this.

Does not want to marry a non-Jew
What if I’ve done all of these steps, months have gone by and he tells me because of that one argument he doesn’t love me anymore? He’s created so many situations for me not to trust him but because of my reaction he doesn’t love me anymore and he ended things? We were dating. He knew I wasn’t dating for fun and I wanted to get married as soon as my conversion finishes. He’s met my rabbi.
Hello. I'm a rabbi jew that converted but the thing is i converted myself because no one in my area is willing to get me through the conversion process. Is this considered ok? I live in a town with very small percentage of Jews. A few rabbis I tried to get a hold of but they were not willing to help me with conversion. So I had no choice but to convert myself. I love Torah. Very much! I followed all of G-D's commandments. Can a conversion just mean that a person is passionate with Torah and loves the jewish people and wants to be part of the Hasidic community good enough? I'm also getting an Aliyah process of me going to live in Israel. And one of the requirements of the Aliyah is to have a letter showing that i covered. If i tell a rabbi that i converted myself due to no one helping me convert, would that be acceptable? I'm also planning to fly to Israel and go to a synagogue over there and learn more Torah. A rabbi doesn't need to go to rabbi school just to learn torah. Because who has $60,000 plus in their pocket? Not many. So could i just learn torah and just be a good rabbi and follow G-D's commandments with zero cost in a Israel synagogue?
I'm not a Jew but I found out that I connect to Jewish origin ancestry. I've been yearning for conversion but I don't know where to start, please advice.
Conversion During Omer
Hello, I am going through a conversion process, I was suppose to have the conversion done on lag b omer. The Rabbi has changed his opinion and arranging a beit din in the coming week. Are there any sources that negate this practice that it should be done on or after lag b omer?
When will I be a Jew in the creator’s eyes?
My father is Jewish but my mother is not. I am currently converting to Judaism in Israel under a program from the rabbinate. I study and take upon myself new mitzvoth regularly with the guidance of my Rabbi. However, I think that in the eyes of my co-worshipers in the synagogue that I am still just a goy. It makes me fear that Elokim also only looks upon me as a goy and won't consider my prayers or offer me His protection as He would a born jew. When will I become a Jew in Elokim's eyes and find grace in His eyes?
