Israel has opened its first-ever embassy in Ljubljana in a ceremony attended by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar. The move follows Slovenia's change in government and comes amid warming ties between the two countries.

The Pacific island nation has consistently backed Israel at the United Nations and recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in 2019.

The island nation of Nauru has approved plans to open an embassy in Jerusalem in the coming months. The move strengthens its ties with Israel and adds to its consistent support for the country on the international stage and at U.N. institutions.

The government of Somaliland announced that it will open its embassy in Jerusalem. The embassy is expected to open next month at an event attended by Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi. It will be the eighth foreign embassy to begin operating in Jerusalem.
