Here are five fruits to avoid during a diet: any kind of dried fruit, which often contains added sugars and other fattening substances; bananas, which are high in sugar and calories; grapes, also rich in sugar; mango; and pineapple.
Before you start worrying about what’s left to eat, here are five fruits you can enjoy with peace of mind, even while dieting. These fruits are low in calories and help promote satiety: blueberries, apricots, grapefruits, strawberries, and apples.
And what about melons or watermelon, especially in the summer? A cup of diced watermelon or melon contains about 60 calories. If you’re counting calories, consider whether it’s worth “spending” them on such fleeting enjoyment. If you choose to indulge, you may need to adjust other parts of your diet to maintain your progress.
