Raised in Har Bracha, in a close-knit religious community, her roots are deeply embedded in the settlement movement. Her grandfather, Rabbi Dov Lior, is a prominent figure in religious Zionism. A few months ago, Hadar married Nadav Bachar. Nadav grew up in Be'eri, a secular kibbutz near Gaza, but returned to his faith. His family has a strong military background, with his father, Yossi Bachar, being a significant figure in the IDF. Nadav discovered Judaism in high school, sparked by his experiences at 'Adam VaAdama,' a school combining agricultural work with academic studies. This encounter piqued his interest in Jewish traditions, leading him to pursue studies at a yeshiva in Bruchin. There, he was guided on his spiritual journey. Despite his demanding military career as an officer in the Golani Brigade, his connection to his faith grew stronger. Nadav’s commitment was evident when he chose to celebrate Shabbat in the Shomron during a crisis at his kibbutz. His quick actions during a terror attack saved lives, highlighting his deep-rooted values and bravery. Despite their different backgrounds, Hadar and Nadav found common ground, supported by both their families. Their wedding in Be'eri was a significant event, blending secular and religious customs, with over 750 guests. It was a day filled with joy and cultural exchange, showcasing the beauty of unity within the Jewish community. In reflecting on her new family, Hadar notes how the experience has reinforced her beliefs while also broadening her understanding of the diverse Israeli spectrum.
