Tehran Strike: IDF Hits University Lab Linked to Iran's Missile and Nuclear Programs
IDF jets struck a research-and-development site at Malek Ashtar University that, according to Israel, supports Iran's military industries and ballistic missile program. Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said Iran can threaten European capitals and vowed, "This Pesach we will keep fighting for our freedom."

This is the second site of its kind targeted during Operation 'Lion's Roar'.
According to the IDF, \"The Malek Ashtar University site served the military industries and the ballistic missile apparatus of the Iranian terror regime for developing components for a nuclear weapon and other armaments. Malek Ashtar University is subordinate to Iran's Defense Ministry and has been under international sanctions for decades for its activity promoting the nuclear program and developing ballistic missiles.\"
\"The strike constitutes another layer in the ongoing effort to harm the regime's ability to move toward obtaining a nuclear weapon, and it joins the series of actions carried out during Operation 'Lion's Roar', whose goal is broad and sustained damage to all pillars of the regime.\"
Meanwhile, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir confirmed this evening that Iran launched long-range missiles toward the American base on Diego Garcia, located about 4,000 kilometers from Iran's shores.
According to Zamir, \"These missiles were not intended to strike Israel. Their range reaches European capitals—Berlin, Paris, and Rome are all within direct threat range.\"
Addressing the continuation of the fighting, the Chief of Staff added: \"The extensive damage we have inflicted on the Iranian regime over the last three weeks is beginning to add up to a systemic-strategic, military, economic, and governmental achievement. The evil regime is weaker, Iran is more exposed and without significant defensive capability.\"
The Chief of Staff also addressed the fighting on the northern front: \"Today I approved for Northern Command the plans for continued fighting. No more containment! There is initiative! There is offensive action! Our forces will stand as a buffer between the enemy and the communities, and any target that poses a threat to them will be removed. We are halfway there, but the direction is clear. In about a week, on Pesach, the Festival of Freedom, we will continue to fight for our freedom and our future.\"
