Caught on Video: Arrest in Tel Mond of Palestinian Suspected of Planning Imminent Attack

Acting on Shin Bet intelligence, Israeli Border Police and Central District officers arrested two Palestinians in Tel Mond who were in Israel illegally. One is suspected of plotting an attack in the near future; a second detainee is being checked for terror ties.

This afternoon (Wednesday), police cleared for publication that Border Police officers and Central District police arrested yesterday in Tel Mond two Palestinians, who were in Israel illegally, one of whom is suspected of planning an attack.

The suspects, residents of Hebron, were arrested based on Shin Bet intelligence. Security forces reached the compound where the suspects were staying and quickly sealed off the area. During the operation, one suspect was spotted fleeing, and the forces initiated a foot pursuit.

The suspect was arrested within a short time, and another suspect was located nearby after he tried to escape by jumping from a building roof; he was injured and detained. The suspect received medical treatment at the scene from medical personnel. During searches of the site, a vehicle was found with a vest inside, and the circumstances are being examined. Both suspects were transferred for further investigation.
