Gen. Eyal Zamir met today (Wednesday) with IDF division commanders.
Zamir addressed the issue, saying: "The IDF is on highest alert and prepared for any development. We will continue to fight as long as necessary in arenas both near and far."
Referring to the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza, Zamir added: "On every front, we are prepared and establishing ourselves in forward defensive areas, thwarting threats and shaping reality through initiative, persistence, and determination. In every arena, we are removing threats and acting first and foremost to deepen the blow to the enemy and safeguard the security of our civilians and soldiers. As Chief of Staff, I see all arenas before me — we have struck and systematically weakened, with great force and according to an orderly plan, Iran and the entire axis."
Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson updated that earlier today, forces from the battle team of the 'Machatz' Brigade (14), operating in the northern Gaza Strip, identified a militant who crossed the yellow line and approached the troops in a way that posed an immediate threat. Immediately after identifying him, the forces eliminated the militant in order to remove the threat.
In the northern sector, the IDF's Arabic-language spokesperson published a warning notice this afternoon and called for evacuations in areas of southern Lebanon. Later, the IDF struck Hezbollah terror infrastructure — first in the town of Al-Qasmiya, and then in the town of Tebnine and other nearby areas.
