The IDF Spokesperson reported this evening (Sunday) that over the past weekend, the IDF and Shin Bet struck in the southern Gaza Strip and killed the terrorist Zaki Yusuf Mahmoud Abu Mustafa. The terrorist served as a Nukhba commander in Islamic Jihad’s Khan Younis Brigade.
The terrorist infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre and took part in the abduction of 14-year-old Yagil Yaakov. He was also documented on Israeli territory during Yaakov’s abduction from the kibbutz.
According to the IDF, "Recently, Abu Mustafa was heavily involved in efforts to rebuild the terror organization’s capabilities in the Strip, in violation of the ceasefire agreement. In addition, he advanced numerous terror plots against our forces and attempted to hold terrorist training sessions at Nasser Hospital, in order to avoid being targeted while operating inside it. Abu Mustafa posed an immediate threat to our forces operating in the area and was eliminated in a precise strike."
In a separate strike, the terrorist Muhammad Osama Abd al-Aziz Saba al-Eish, a Hamas Nukhba operative, was killed after attempting to advance training and preparation for the organization’s terrorists and working to recruit additional terrorists to the organization.
