Lebanese sources reported this afternoon (Monday) that IDF forces withdrew from the Arnoun area and from the vicinity of Ali al-Taher, toward the town of al-Qantara in southern Lebanon.

At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated: "My directive, together with the defense minister's, to the IDF is clear and has not changed: Our troops in southern Lebanon have full freedom to act to thwart any direct or emerging threat to them or to the residents of the north. The IDF has no restrictions in this matter."

"I stand behind them, and the entire nation stands behind them. I remain firm that we will stay in the security zone in southern Lebanon for as long as necessary, in order to protect the residents of the north and all the citizens of the state."
