Ingredients

  • 2 whole potatoes, washed and thinly sliced crosswise (without cutting all the way through)

  • ½ stick (or ½ package) butter

  • 50 g (1.8 oz) Parmesan, mozzarella, or another favorite cheese, grated

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 container sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°C (480°F).

  2. Slice the butter into small pieces, matching the number of slits made in the potatoes.

  3. Insert the butter slices into the potato slits.

  4. Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with the Parmesan or mozzarella cheese.

  5. Spoon the sour cream over the potatoes and season with the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  6. Bake the potatoes for about 30 minutes, or until they are completely tender and the tops are golden and crisp.

  7. Garnish with your choice of fresh chopped herbs, such as chives, dill, rosemary, parsley, or cilantro.

Serve hot and enjoy!
