The IDF struck and killed two armed Hezbollah operatives on Wednesday morning after they were identified near the security zone in the Ali Taher Ridge area of southern Lebanon. The IDF Spokesperson confirmed the strike was carried out to neutralize an immediate threat to Israeli forces in the sector.

Forces from the Givati Reconnaissance Unit, deployed at the Ali Taher Ridge, spotted the two armed operatives close to the security zone and identified them as a direct threat. The Air Force and ground forces then coordinated a joint strike, which the IDF described as a "threat removal strike." Both operatives were killed. No Israeli casualties were reported, and the IDF said the situation in the sector returned to routine following the operation.

The Ali Taher Ridge has seen active IDF operations in recent months. Israeli forces have maintained a presence there as part of ongoing security activity along the northern border, working to keep Hezbollah from establishing positions that could threaten Israeli communities and troops. The IDF has consistently said it will act against any armed presence that poses a threat to its forces within the operational zone.
