Strike in Gaza: Ismail Haniyeh’s Nephew Killed
The IDF and Shin Bet said they killed Walid Haniyeh in Gaza, identifying him as a deputy commander in Hamas’s *Nukhba* force and the nephew of Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Iran. According to the IDF, Walid led a terrorist squad’s raid into اسرائیل on October 7, 2023.

The IDF Spokesperson and Shin Bet spokesperson announced this evening (after Shabbat) that in a joint operation, Walid Haniyeh, the deputy commander of a *Nukhba* company, was killed in the Gaza Strip. The terrorist was the nephew of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Iran.
The nephew commanded a terrorist squad’s raid into the territory of the State of Israel on October 7, 2023. According to the IDF, Walid Haniyeh had recently tried to recruit new terrorists into Hamas’s ranks, and also led theoretical training for the *Nukhba* company under his command.
Haniyeh himself infiltrated Israeli territory. At the same time, he was involved in directing and relaying instructions to a terrorist squad while they kidnapped Israeli civilians into the Gaza Strip.
