Gaza: Israel Says Terrorist Involved in Abducting Israelis on October 7 Was Killed

The IDF and Shin Bet say they killed Zaher Braham Khalil Abu Salem, a terrorist from Islamic Jihad, in Gaza. According to Israel, he entered Israeli territory on October 7 and took part in abducting Israeli civilians. Palestinian reports also described an Israeli strike in Deir al-Balah.

Media outlets in Gaza reported Monday afternoon that three people were killed in a targeted IDF strike in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

At the same time, the IDF Spokesperson said that the IDF and the Shin Bet killed the terrorist Zaher Braham Khalil Abu Salem last night in the northern Gaza Strip. The terrorist belonged to the Islamic Jihad organization. He entered Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and took part in the abduction of Israeli civilians from their homes and in holding them captive.

In addition, throughout the war and also recently, Abu Salem tried to advance numerous terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The IDF noted that "Abu Salem posed a threat to our forces operating in the Gaza Strip and was killed in an airstrike."
