IDF Says It Killed Nukhba Cell Commander Involved in the October 7 Attack Near Kissufim

The IDF announced today (Saturday night) that in a strike in central Gaza earlier this week, it killed the terrorist Mohand Asaad Mahmoud Abu Gazal, a Hamas Nukhba cell commander. Abu Gazal took part in the raid on the Kissufim area during the October 7 massacre.

In another strike in northern Gaza earlier this week, the IDF killed the terrorist Raid Hani Muhammad Amsi, an observation operative in Hamas's aerial array. Alongside Amsi, the terrorist Nabhan Muhammad Nabhan Amsi was killed as well; he headed a section in the military intelligence unit of Hamas's Gaza Brigade.

The IDF said that "throughout the war, including recently, the terrorists worked to advance terror attacks against IDF troops and the civilians of the State of Israel. The terrorists were killed in precise aerial strikes in order to remove the threat."

In addition, the IDF and the ISA struck terror infrastructure in several areas of the Gaza Strip overnight. Weapons storage facilities, weapons production infrastructure, and underground infrastructure were targeted. The storage sites contained Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs, mortar shells, explosive devices, and additional combat equipment.

The IDF Spokesperson said: "The weapons were intended to harm IDF troops operating in the Yellow Line area and civilians of the State of Israel, and were destroyed in order to remove the threat. Following the infrastructure strikes, secondary explosions were identified, indicating the presence of weapons inside the sites. Hamas continues to systematically and flagrantly violate the ceasefire agreement, while attempting to rebuild the organization's forces and military infrastructure."
