IDF Says It Eliminated Hamas Sniper Cell Leader and October 7 Attacker

The IDF said Thursday morning that it had eliminated the leader of a Hamas sniper cell in the Nuseirat Battalion, as well as a terrorist who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7.

According to the IDF, in a strike in southern Gaza earlier this week, it killed Ahmed Hasham Mahmoud Louh, the leader of a sniper cell in the Nuseirat Battalion. Mahmoud Louh was the last remaining sniper cell leader in the battalion. His elimination follows a series of targeted killings of sniper cell leaders in the same unit.

In another strike in northern Gaza earlier this week, the IDF killed Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Taroush, a platoon commander in Hamas's military wing. Mahmoud Taroush infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.

Throughout the war, including recently, the terrorists attempted to advance terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The terrorists posed a threat to the troops and were eliminated in precise airstrikes.
