IDF Dog Finds Dozens of Rockets Inside Gaza Tunnel

During operational activity in southern Gaza, fighters from the Paratrooper Brigade’s combat team located an underground route where dozens of rockets belonging to terrorist organizations operating in the Strip had been hidden. After the tunnel was found, engineering forces from the Gaza Division and the Yahalom unit destroyed it.

The IDF Spokesperson said that forces from the Paratrooper Brigade combat team, operating under the command of the Gaza Division (143), are continuing operations in the southern Strip aimed at clearing the area of the Yellow Line of terrorist infrastructure, both above and below ground. During one of the operations in the area, the forces succeeded in locating the underground route, which contained dozens of rockets belonging to terrorist organizations operating in the Gaza Strip.

After completing the searches and securing the scene, it was decided to destroy the infrastructure. The mission was carried out in cooperation between the Gaza Division’s engineering fighters and forces from the Yahalom unit, who worked to neutralize and destroy the entire route. The IDF stressed that this was another operation as part of the ongoing effort to locate and destroy terrorist infrastructure used by the organizations in the Strip.

Alongside the announcement, the IDF also released footage from the operation on the ground, including video filmed using a body camera worn by a dog from the Oketz unit that operated inside the underground route located in southern Gaza. Footage of the tunnel’s destruction was also released.
