Over the past several months, IDF forces under Northern Command have continued operating in southern Lebanon as part of efforts to remove security threats to the State of Israel. As the IDF Spokesperson said today (Thursday), the operation uncovered an extensive infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization, including thousands of facilities and weapons that had been embedded over the years within civilian villages in southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF statement, thousands of sites used by Hezbollah for military purposes were found during operational activity. These included command centers, positions for personnel, launch sites, observation posts, underground infrastructure, and numerous weapons, dispersed throughout the area where the forces are operating.

The IDF noted that the findings uncovered on the ground reflect the way Hezbollah has established itself in southern Lebanon over many years. According to the findings, the organization operated systematically from within civilian villages, integrating military infrastructure into the civilian environment and turning the entire area into a significant space for its operational activity.
