Khamenei Urges Gulf States to Unite Against Their ‘Common Enemy’
Iranian media published a written statement attributed to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, calling on Arab countries in the Middle East, especially in the Gulf, to confront Israel and the United States.
Khamenei (Credit: Mossad X network)Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, called today (Sunday) on Muslim countries, particularly those in the Persian Gulf, to unite against what he called their “true enemy.” The written statement attributed to Khamenei was published on Khamenei’s Telegram account in honor of Islamic Unity Week and was quoted by Reuters.
Khamenei said in his statement that “divisions among Muslims serve the interests of their rivals. Anyone who creates divisions among Muslims, knowingly or unknowingly, helps the enemies of Islam. If Muslims were united, would the Palestinians remain helpless?”
He asked the Arab Gulf rulers whether “identity-less swindlers” would dare covet their lands and property if the Gulf’s peoples and governments were “united under the banner of Islam.”
It should be noted that Khamenei has not been seen in public since he was injured in airstrikes between the United States and Israel six months ago, at the start of Operation “Roar of the Lion.”
Today’s publication came two days after another statement attributed to Khamenei, which claimed that he had banned actions that harm social cohesion and called on authorities to refrain from “discouraging statements” that weaken national and public morale.
