The Hezbollah terrorist organization launched two explosive drones overnight Wednesday toward IDF forces operating in the security zone on the Ali al-Taher ridge. One of the drones was intercepted after IDF soldiers opened fire at it, and no forces were injured in the incident.

Following the drone launch, the IDF struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. According to the IDF Spokesperson’s announcement, the sites that were targeted were used by the organization’s operatives to plan and direct terrorist activities intended to harm both IDF forces operating in the security zone and Israeli civilians.

The IDF clarified that the strikes in southern Lebanon were carried out as a direct response to Hezbollah’s action and in order to neutralize a danger facing the forces. The military said in its statement that "These strikes were carried out to remove an immediate threat."

Alongside the airstrikes, IDF forces continue operating in the Ali al-Taher ridge area. The military emphasized that activity in the area will continue to prevent Hezbollah operatives from establishing a presence there and carrying out actions against the forces from it.
