Security Drama: Terror Network Allegedly Planning Attacks Across Israel Uncovered

The Shin Bet and Israel Police have been investigating a security case in recent weeks in which about 12 wanted suspects were arrested and weapons and various types of military equipment were seized. This was reported today (Thursday). According to suspicions, those involved were working to establish terror networks and were planning attacks at several locations across the country. A gag order has been placed on the details of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson said this afternoon that during a counterterrorism operation involving more than 80 searches in the Al-Arroub refugee camp in Hebron, IDF and Shin Bet forces arrested 20 suspects on suspicion of involvement in terror activity. Among those arrested were members of a group of minors who allegedly planned to throw stones and Molotov cocktails in the area.

At the same time, Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth said during a toast with local council leaders that cooperation among the Shin Bet, the Judea and Samaria District, the IDF, and the Border Police creates "the prevention of every kind of terror, governance, and the enforcement of law and order." Bluth added: "When people try to operate 'somewhere in between,' it creates less effectiveness on the ground. I welcome the existing partnership, which fulfills our vision: a civilian lives a normal life; terror meets the army."
