Inside a Hezbollah Position: IDF Finds Launchers Loaded With 32 Rockets Aimed at Israel

IDF forces found launchers ready for use in southern Lebanon containing 32 rockets aimed at Israeli territory, the IDF Spokesperson said today (Tuesday). According to the military, the launchers and weapons were left in the area before the ceasefire agreement took effect.

The findings were uncovered during an operation by the 55th Brigade Combat Team, operating under the command of Division 91 in the security zone in southern Lebanon. During searches carried out by the troops in the area, they located a staging position containing a shaft belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization, alongside launchers that were ready for use.

Thirty-two rockets aimed at Israeli territory were found inside the launchers. The IDF noted that the rockets and launchers had remained at the site from before the ceasefire agreement. After locating the infrastructure, the forces worked to destroy the staging position, the shaft and the launchers found at the site.

The 55th Brigade's activity is part of Division 91's ongoing operations in the security zone in southern Lebanon, aimed at removing threats to the State of Israel. In recent weeks, the IDF has also reported finding Hezbollah weapons and infrastructure in the area as part of its forces' operations.

The IDF Spokesperson's statement said: "The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel or its forces, and will continue operating to remove threats and remain committed to the ceasefire agreement."

Alongside the announcement, the IDF Spokesperson released footage of the destruction of the shaft found in the security zone, as well as photos of the launchers, the shaft and the activities of the 55th Brigade Combat Team's soldiers in southern Lebanon.
