IDF Kills Two Hamas Nukhba Operatives in Northern Gaza, Including One Who Attacked Erez Crossing on Oct. 7

The IDF announced today (Thursday) that it killed two Nukhba operatives from Hamas’s military wing in two separate strikes in northern Gaza. According to the military, the two had recently been working to advance terror plans and rebuild the organization’s capabilities.

Two days ago, the IDF struck in northern Gaza and killed Sharif Shadi Ibrahim Labad, a Nukhba operative who took part in the October 7 massacre and stormed the Erez Crossing during it. The IDF Spokesperson also released a photograph showing Labad at the Erez Crossing during the massacre.

In an additional strike carried out the day before, on Monday, Yusuf Saad Aladin Rashad Zaim was killed in northern Gaza. He had served as a Nukhba commander in Hamas’s military wing.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s statement, both operatives had recently been involved in advancing activity against IDF troops and Israeli civilians, while also working to restore Hamas’s capabilities. The military said their activities were carried out "in systematic violation of the ceasefire," and that the two were killed "to remove the threat they posed."

The IDF emphasized that, before the strikes were carried out, measures were taken to reduce the risk of harm to civilians as much as possible. These included the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. The IDF clarified: "IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove any immediate threat."
