IDF Strikes Gaza and Lebanon, Killing Two Hamas Operatives and Hitting Hezbollah Weapons Depot

The IDF announced Saturday evening that it killed two operatives from Hamas’s military wing in two strikes in the Gaza Strip on Friday, including a Nukhba platoon commander. According to the IDF, the two had recently been working to advance terror plans and restore the organization’s capabilities.

In a strike carried out in the Nuseirat area, Ibrahim Fawzi Ismail Mohsen, who served as a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas’s military wing, was killed. In a separate strike in the Khan Younis area, Mohammed Kamel Suleiman Mohsen, an operative in the organization’s military wing, was killed.

The IDF said the two had advanced terror plans against military forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore Hamas’s capabilities, "while systematically violating the ceasefire agreement." It added that they were killed to remove the threat they posed. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement, and the military said it would continue acting to remove any immediate threat.

Earlier, the IDF struck a Hezbollah weapons depot in the Sajd area of southern Lebanon. According to the military’s statement, the depot stored weapons that were used to target forces operating in the security zone and disrupt their activities, and the strike was carried out to remove the threat.

The IDF stressed that it would continue acting against immediate threats and warned: "Any use of force from Lebanese territory intended to harm Israeli citizens or IDF forces will be met with great force."
