Israeli Military Says It Eliminated Hamas Military Wing’s Finance Operative in Gaza
The IDF says it killed Shadi Abu Hasira in Gaza. The operative reportedly led the “Geneva” currency-exchange network, which transferred tens of millions of shekels to Hamas’s military wing and advanced terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

The IDF confirmed Monday afternoon that it killed Shadi Abu Hasira yesterday in Gaza City, describing him as a terrorist operative and a key money changer for Hamas’s military wing. Palestinians announced yesterday that the operative had been killed in a strike on his vehicle.
The IDF Spokesperson said the operative led the “Geneva” currency-exchange network, which transferred tens of millions of shekels in foreign funds to Hamas’s military wing. The money was used to finance terrorist operatives, rebuild military infrastructure, and advance terror plots against Israeli forces. At the same time, the operative was involved in commerce in the Gaza Strip and managed the “Gardena Professional” company, which assisted his money-transfer operations.
Recently, the operative advanced terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to rebuild the terror organization’s capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire. He was eliminated in an airstrike to remove the threat he posed.
