At the start of a security cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he speaks with President Donald Trump "almost daily" and that Israel and the United States are fully aligned on Iran, including removing all enriched material from Iran and dismantling its enrichment capabilities. He added that Israel is prepared for any scenario.

In 1982, during a visit to Washington, the late Prime Minister Menachem Begin faced off against then-Senator Joe Biden over U.S. aid and settlement policies. Begin stood firm: "Do not threaten us, it won't work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees."
