Nikolay Mladenov, CEO of the Gaza Peace Council, addressed the roadmap rejected by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He stressed: "No one is required to do anything before the steps are implemented on the ground." Netanyahu’s office denied that Israel had agreed to withdraw from several areas near Rafah.

Nikolay Mladenov, chair of the Gaza Peace Council, appealed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demanded that Israel uphold its commitment to halt targeted killings and strikes in Gaza. Israel said it would not do so before Hamas is disarmed.

The proposed initiative would move Gazans to the Yellow Line area before winter, while a multinational security force prepares to deploy and negotiations over Hamas disarmament remain at an impasse

According to a U.S. report, the American administration is considering asking Israel to transfer a significant portion of Palestinian tax revenues to the Peace Council set up to manage Gaza. The money would be used to rebuild the Strip.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met at his Jerusalem office with the head of the "Peace Council" for the Gaza Strip, Nikolay Mladenov. Also attending were U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee and businessman Michael Eisenberg.
