Achieving True Wellness: A Holistic Approach
Explore the journey of detoxification, adapt healthier lifestyle habits, and find harmony between body and soul to achieve complete wellness, with Hashem's help.

The average person carries an extra 5 to 18 pounds of waste in their colon. The interior of the intestines, with all its twists and villi, could cover an entire tennis court if stretched out. Clearly, such a vast surface provides many places for waste to accumulate. To maintain good health, it is crucial that food moves properly through the digestive system so waste can be expelled efficiently. When waste does not exit the colon as it should, it accumulates, decays, hardens, and can lead to problems such as constipation, parasites (including Candida and Helicobacter pylori), stomach pain, digestive disturbances, a weakened immune system, weight gain, chronic illnesses up to cancer, and even mental health challenges like depression.
A wise person safeguards their well-being, as guided by our sacred teachings, by preventing illness before it arises. By living a healthy lifestyle, we can enjoy a fulfilling life that allows us to serve Hashem with joy.
What defines a healthy lifestyle? Primarily, a vegetarian diet during the week, including fresh fruits and vegetables, seeds, almonds, legumes, and grains, along with essential elements such as fresh air, moderate exercise, proper breathing, pure drinking water, joyfulness, adequate and timely sleep, a spiritual life and Torah study (primarily for men), music, wholesome social connections, up to ten minutes of daily sunlight, prayer, and direct dialogue with Hashem. Together, these components foster a life of happiness, satisfaction, purpose, and true health.
As we age, the body accumulates more toxins, which are the real culprits behind the outbreak of disease, often settling in weaker organs based on heredity. Sadly, chronic illnesses now affect even young children, who are exposed to excessive toxins and suffer from conditions once seen mainly in adults, such as diabetes, early-stage arteriosclerosis, fungal infections, stomach bacteria, anemia, and more. Take care of yourselves and your children. Educate yourselves on these matters, experience the beneficial process of detoxification, change harmful lifestyle habits, attend lectures on the topic, and read widely. When the body’s systems receive proper nourishment and are supported by a healthy lifestyle as described above, the body and spirit can function in harmony, and a person can achieve complete wellness, with Hashem’s help.
Remember: a healer can guide a person toward the right path to health, but cannot make decisions for them or force them to act. Each individual must find their own path to complete wellness, with Hashem’s help.
