IDF Releases 2025 Operational Statistics Across All Fronts
Year-end data details extensive military, intelligence, and civilian activity from Gaza to Iran, reflecting sustained multi-front operations and national mobilization
IDF (Oren Cohen/Flash90)The IDF on Wednesday published a comprehensive summary of its activity throughout 2025, detailing large-scale military, intelligence, and civilian-defense operations conducted across all arenas. The data, updated through December 15, reflects sustained fighting in the south, north, and central sectors, alongside direct action against Iranian and Houthi targets.
According to the IDF, approximately 306,830 reserve soldiers were mobilized in 2025. Across all arenas, the military carried out 430 operations and struck about 20,900 targets. Naval forces logged around 130,000 operational hours and conducted approximately 50 maritime strikes.
In the Southern Command, the IDF reported striking about 19,530 targets, dismantling roughly 13,910 terror infrastructure sites and 270 weapons depots were attacked. Senior Hamas terrorists were eliminated, including Mohammed Sinwar, head of Hamas’s military wing, Ra’ad Sa’ad, a senior commander responsible for weapons development, Mohammed Shabaneh, commander of the Rafah Brigade, and Abdallah Abu Shamala, head of Hamas’s terror financing apparatus in the Gaza Strip.
Along the northern front, IDF forces eliminated approximately 380 Hezbollah terrorists and struck around 950 targets. . Among those killed were Haytham Ali Tabatabai, a Hezbollah chief of general staff; Abbas Hassan Karky, a senior logistics commander; Hassan Kamal, an anti-tank officer in Hezbollah’s southern sector; and Khadir Sa’id Hashem, commander of the naval unit within Hezbollah’s Radwan Force. The operations destroyed launchers, weapons storage facilities, military structures, and underground shafts. The IDF also reported roughly 1,920 Hezbollah ceasefire violations during the year.
In the Central Command, Israeli forces carried out 80 brigade-level operations. Approximately 230 terrorists were eliminated, and around 7,400 suspects were arrested, including roughly 1,190 Hamas terrorists. Security forces confiscated 1,340 weapons and seized approximately 16.48 million shekels in terror funds. Notable terrorists eliminated included senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives involved in directing attacks in Judea and Samaria.
Beyond Israel’s immediate borders, the IDF reported significant activity against Iranian and Houthi targets. As part of Operation “Rising Lion”, Israeli forces struck roughly 1,500 targets inside Iran. Those eliminated included Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, the wartime chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and Mohammad Kazemi, head of Iranian military intelligence, alongside 11 nuclear scientists and approximately 30 senior regime figures.
In Yemen, the IDF carried out approximately 20 major strikes involving around 180 fighter jets. The operations targeted roughly 230 sites and resulted in the elimination of Muhammad al-Ghamari, chief of staff of the Houthi terrorist military, along with 12 additional senior figures from the Houthi regime and military leadership.
The IDF’s Personnel Directorate reported that about 3,300 lone soldiers immigrated to Israel and enlisted during 2025. The military recorded 91 fallen soldiers from war-sustained reasons and approximately 821 wounded. During the year, around 54,000 reservists were returned from exemption. Medical and logistical units carried out roughly 8,200 medical evacuations, including about 300 by helicopter.
Home Front Command activity expanded significantly as well. The IDF reported handling around 1.58 million calls to the 104 emergency hotline, deploying approximately 1,500 mobile shelters, renovating about 200 public shelters, and installing roughly 100 warning sirens nationwide.
The IDF said the figures reflect continuous, wide-scale activity aimed at countering security threats while maintaining force readiness and strengthening civilian defense throughout a year of sustained conflict.
