Iranian missile intercepted over central Israel; 19 injured, including one in moderate condition

A splitting missile launched from Iran toward central Israel was intercepted. Multiple impact sites were reported in Bnei Brak, Givat Shmuel, Petah Tikva, and Rosh HaAyin. Twelve people suffered shrapnel or blast injuries and seven more were treated for anxiety.

An Iranian multi-warhead missile was intercepted this evening (Tuesday) over Israel. The missile, launched toward the country's center, carried cluster munitions, some of which fell in several locations.

MDA said that in the Bnei Brak area, MDA medics and paramedics provided medical care and evacuated to Beilinson, Schneider, Sheba, and Maayanei Hayeshua hospitals 9 injured people, including: a 23-year-old man in moderate condition with shrapnel wounds, and 8 in mild condition with blast and shrapnel injuries, including 6 children.

MDA emergency medical technician Menachem Chai Zinger said: "An approximately 80-year-old woman was inside the home, conscious and suffering minor injuries. The building was hit and there was extensive damage, and we understood that at the time of impact she was not in a protected area, and by a miracle she was only slightly hurt. We helped her down from the apartment to the street while fully conscious, and she was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Another woman, about 35, who was with her in the apartment, was not injured and did not require medical treatment."

In total, according to MDA, 19 people were evacuated from all scenes: 1 in moderate condition, a 23-year-old with shrapnel wounds to the abdomen and head. 11 in mild condition with blast and shrapnel injuries and 7 who suffered anxiety attacks. Breakdown: From the scenes in Bnei Brak, 12 injured people - 1 in moderate condition, 8 in mild condition, of whom 6 are children, and 3 suffering from anxiety. From Givat Shmuel: 3 in mild condition with blast injuries andfrom Petah Tikva 4 with anxiety.

Fire and Rescue Services reported that in the city of Bnei Brak, firefighting teams were dispatched to three scenes. The main scene involved extensive destruction caused by the impact of a munition on a four-story building, with significant peripheral damage. One person in moderate condition was evacuated from the site.

At a second scene in Bnei Brak, there was a munition impact on a four-story building, and at a third scene, a fragment fell on a balcony in a building in Givat Shmuel. In addition, three scenes involving munition fragments were reported in Petah Tikva, and another scene in an open area in Rosh HaAyin. No injuries were reported at these sites.
