The IDF Spokesperson said this morning (Wednesday) that Division 36 forces are expanding their activity in southern Lebanon as part of an effort to further degrade Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure. The IDF emphasized that this is a focused ground operation aimed at widening the security buffer and thwarting threats to the forces and Israel’s civilians.

As part of the activity, the 7th Brigade’s battle team worked to destroy a weapons storage facility used by the organization. After the strike, several militants who fled the area were eliminated.

Additionally, the Golani Brigade’s battle team continued targeted raids on additional Hezbollah infrastructure. During the operation, the organization’s command posts were destroyed, where numerous weapons were found. The IDF noted that these means were used by the organization’s terrorists \"to advance and carry out terror plans against IDF forces and the State of Israel\".

During one of the actions, the forces killed an armed militant who approached them carrying an RPG and a Kalashnikov.
