The IDF announced this evening (Monday) that it killed in Beirut senior commanders in the unit responsible for coordinating between Hezbollah and Palestinian terrorist organizations across the Middle East. Among those killed: Hamza Ibrahim Rakhin, deputy commander of Unit 1800, and the unit's operations chief.
Unit 1800 is the unit responsible for coordinating between Hezbollah and Palestinian terrorist organizations in Lebanon, Gaza, Syria, and the West Bank. In his role, Rakhin also oversaw the transfer of militants from those organizations to fight against IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. Along with Rakhin, the operations chief of Unit 1800 and another operative in the unit were also killed.

In additional strikes during the day in Beirut and southern Lebanon, Hezbollah headquarters were attacked. In addition, more than 100 towers used by the terrorist organization in the Beirut area were destroyed. The towers were used by Hezbollah for command, control, and carrying out terror plans against Israeli civilians and IDF forces. The IDF Spokesperson said: "Hezbollah embedded these structures in the heart of a civilian population. This is another example of the terrorist organization's cynical exploitation of the citizens of Lebanon".
