U.S. President Donald Trump said this evening (Tuesday, Israel time) that Iran has "two or three days to return to the negotiating table. Maybe they have until Friday, Shabbat, Sunday to complete a deal. A limited period of time, because we cannot let them obtain nuclear weapons".

According to Reuters, Trump added that "Iran is begging to make a deal. We may have to hit Iran again, not sure". Trump later added that he was "an hour away" from launching another strike on Iran.

In response, this evening Iranian army spokesman Mohammad Akrami Nia said: "If the enemy attacks our country again, we will open new fronts against it, using new methods and means".

Meanwhile, a source in Iran told Reuters that the regime is insisting on the terms it presented to the U.S. at the start of the week: an end to hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon; the withdrawal of American forces from areas near Iran; payment of compensation for destruction caused by the U.S.-Israel war; and the release of frozen funds alongside the lifting of sanctions. On the nuclear issue, Iran is prepared to discuss transferring enriched uranium to Russia. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the report and the clauses of the Iranian proposal to Washington.

It should be noted that Trump emphasized last night, in a post he published, that there would be "no concessions." Several U.S. media outlets reported that the Trump administration may release some of Iran's frozen funds, or allow limited "peaceful nuclear activity" under international supervision. At the same time, American officials continue to deny claims that sanctions on Iranian oil exports would be fully lifted during the negotiations.
